The Honey Partnership is looking for a PR Outreach Manager with agency experience to work on a portfolio of client accounts within the consumer tech, travel and lifestyle sectors. The role offers career progression to become an Account Director. The job is based in Old Street, London.

Core Responsibilities
An account manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of a number of different consumer technology and other industry accounts, ensuring the team is motivated and delivers on client expectations. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in decision making, strategy and planning.

We would like you to be responsible for delivering campaigns through online media and social, and in traditional print, and broadcast, under the guidance and supervision of an account director. As an account manager, you act as the link between The Honey Partnership LLP and its clients. You will strive to understand your client’s industry, it business needs and goals, and then organise activity to produce effective campaigns.

Company responsibilities:
– Offering mentor and support to more junior team members
– Identify new business opportunities within existing client accounts and new opportunities
– Identify strengths and weaknesses in the team; work with team members to set, achieve and improve goals
– Line management responsibilities for those junior members of the team working below you
– Active role in the recruitment of your team

Client responsibilities:
– Ownership and management of a number of accounts
– Building and maintaining a media contact and influencer lists
– Main contact point for clients and key decision-maker within the team
– Keep up to date with media, including newspapers and online
– Research, write, edit, proofread, and dispense written material to media
– Monitor clients and alert the team to possible issues
– Give presentations to potential, existing clients and your account team
– Work with account managers to devise a campaign that meets the client’s brief and budget
– Help solve client problems and ensure deadlines are met
– Check, report and measure a campaign’s progress
– Manage third party suppliers engaged on behalf of a client for a campaign
– Keeping in contact with the client and team at all stages of the campaign
– You will usually work on three or four accounts at the same time

Key skills
To be a successful account manager you’ll need:
– Good spoken and written communication skills
– Strong presentation and negotiation skills
– Confidence, tact and a persuasive manner
– Good organisational and time management skills
– Good people skills, for working with a range of colleagues and clients
– The ability to lead and motivate a team
– The ability to manage client expectations and work for each of your accounts
– Good business sense and the ability to work to budgets

Experience Required
Previous experience work on B2C tech and lifestyle accounts within a PR Agency for 3+ years
